Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1,5 between lines; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is APA style 7th ed.
  • Images should have 1300x1080 px as a minimum resolution, and weight 5 MB max. They will be sent in separate files, the formats accepted is RGB 8 bits, as *.jpg or *.png.
  • Tables and graphics should be sent in Excel files. Each table and graphic must be in their own tab.

Author Guidelines

All of the proposals sent to Invortex, Humanities, Artes and Social Sciences Studies, must follow APA 7th ed guidelines.

Call for papers

INVORTEX, Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences Studies, welcomes articles, reviews and texts from researchers, academics and students.

The submission is done through the OJS platform of this website, and has a rolling pass format, which means this call for papers is permanent throughout the year. The submissions received from September onwards, will be considered for the following year.

Research Conference

Colloquium participants that have already been accepted and want to be published in INVORTEX, will be able to submit an extended abstract with an extension of 4000-4500 words.

Call for proposals

INVORTEX, Journal of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, welcomes proposals of film and book reviews, as well as interviews to researchers and creators from academics and students.

This section welcomes proposals of film and academic related events, books, films; as well as interviews with creators or researchers in communication or film studies. This texts are reviewed by the editorial committee, and does not has a peer-review process.

The submission is done through the OJS platform of this website, and has a rolling pass format, which means this call for papers is permanent throughout the year. The submissions received from September onwards, will be considered for the following year.

Author guidelines:

* Georgia 11 pts, 1,5 space between lines.

* Min 800 words. Specifically with reviews, a max. of 1500 words is required.

* Free structure.

Research instruments

This section intends to share to other scholars and students who are in their process of method design. Consider survey, focus group and interview questionnaires, code manuals for content analysis, manuals for discourse analysis, instruments for observations, or proposals for applying participative methodologies for this section.

Also, we receive databases and transcriptions that could contribute to set research backgrounds to other studies.

As an alternative, we are also accepting reflections on methodology, from ethical o personal perspectives, on the researcher's experiences during fieldwork.

The structure for this section is:

1. A text that describes concretely and thoroughly the use and application of the method and instrument, as well as an explanation of the cultural context, original language and objectives of the study for better understanding of its design and adaptation in case it was needed.

2. The instrument or database/transcription.
